University of Louisville String Saturday, 2018 is a one day workshop for Kentucky high school string students featuring intensive coaching by University of Louisville string faculty on All-State Orchestra audition music, instrument specific masterclasses, an honors recital, and a side-by-side rehearsal and performance of Kentucky All-State Orchestra repertoire with the University Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Professor Kimcherie Lloyd. This event will begin with registration/check in on Saturday, September 29th at 9:00 a.m. and culminate with a public performance that evening at 4:45 pm in Margaret Comstock Hall in the School of Music. The cost to attend is only $40 per student and must be paid at registration on September 29th. This will cover lunch on the 29th and a String Saturday t-shirt. This year, we are offering an early-bird registration fee of $30 (non-refundable) if payment is received by September 10th.
